Religion, Education, Secularism, and Youth
I'm the Director of Research at the Institute for Studies in Global Prosperity. My research interests include religion, secularism and public life; science, religion, and social movements; philosophy and history of education; religion, childhood and youth. I hold a PhD in the Study of Religion from the University of Toronto. Here's a recent CV.
My current projects include:
A book project, "Public Schooling and the Spirit of Secularism: The Secular Dynamics of Education Policy Reform in Canada's 1960s." This project draws on my dissertation research and examines the meaning and history of secular schooling through a comparative analysis of two provincial commissions on education during a pivotal decade in Canadian secularization.
An empirical and conceptual project entitled "Education After Secularism." In this project, I examine "post-secular trajectories" in educational thought and practice.
Various essays and articles on different themes related to religion, education, youth, and public life.
